Golden acrylics & Mixed Media DEMO with Soraya French
This demonstration at The Coach House Studio will pack in a ton of valuable information about acrylics, guiding listeners through the basics while opening up new possibilities. The lecture includes a review of Grounds that create truly, contemporary surfaces for painting, drawing, pastel, digital printing and mixed media. Each lecture includes an array of examples of these materials put to use.
International artist and author Soraya French works in watercolours, oils, pastels, acrylics and mixed media, and enjoys painting subjects including musicians, café scenes, landscapes, and African market scenes amongst others. Light and colour are the two important elements in her paintings, together with semi-abstract passages that suggest a sense of ambiguity.
Soraya has received a number of prestigious art awards for her paintings in recent years and many of her works can be found in private and public collections both at home and abroad.
She is a regular contributor to The Artist Magazine, and has achieved international recognition and a wide following off the success of her five art books. She also tutors and demonstrates her painting techniques to art groups and societies worldwide.
She is President of the Society of Women Artists and member of The Society of Floral Painters, and is also currently the President of the Andover Art Society.
