About Workshops

Our studio space has successfully hosted workshops and art clubs for over 8 years in the heart of Truro, TR1 2SJ. It is situated above our huge art shop and lovely cafe, making it handy for purchasing any materials or enjoying barista-made coffee while you paint.

Previously we welcomed up to 14 students in this space, however attendee numbers will be significantly reduced in order to foster a safe and comfortable environment.

What about the Coach House?

When we took on our characterful period property ‘The Coach House’ in September 2020 we knew that there was lots of work ahead to make it the best possible venue for our workshops. With the support of our tutors and students we safely held 21 inspiring workshops this spring/summer, and to continue offering our best we have decided now is the time to take the positive step of carrying out essential works, as well as upgrading our space. All works will be complete by Spring 2022.

Until then we will be moving all art workshops back to the mezzanine level of the Art shop & Café in Truro Centre, TR1 2SJ.

MATERIALS

Each workshop requires students to supply their own materials according to the list provided by our artists, unless otherwise stated.

You will receive 10% off all materials for the workshop and are always
welcome to pop down to the shop throughout the day. Our paint share is available on selected workshops – where applicable please purchase a paint share ticket online at least 2 days ahead.

Order items from the materials list by emailing us at least 2 days prior to the workshop date. We will call you back to talk you though any options and take payment.

PAINT SHARE

For just £10 students are welcome to make full use of our paints while attending selected workshops. We hope this makes trying a new medium much easier – no investing in paints that might not be used again! We will provide Daler-Rowney Georgian Oils or System 3 Acrylics.

(All other items on the materials list must be supplied by students. Hand sanitiser and appropriate social distancing are required if handling paints.)

This option is available on selected workshops, just add the ‘paint share’ option to your basket via online booking. Email workshops@truroartscompany.co.uk to check any details with us.
